Day 6 of JCI Week 2026 goes green as JCI Surigao North leads a meaningful Mangrove Planting Activity at Sitio Panubigon, Brgy Lipata, Surigao City in partnership with JCI Surigao Nickel, JCI Surigao Wensie and Surigao Youth Convergence, under the JCI Philippines National Program: Think Green, Go Green.
This initiative is part of the 7-Earth Week Challenge, a flagship program of JCI Surigao North together in partnership with Surigao Youth Convergence dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability and collective action for a greener future. Together, we planted not just mangroves, but seeds of hope for stronger coastal protection and a more resilient community.
One JCI Surigao are honored by the presence of 2026 Regional Vice President for Northern Mindanao Junelyn Chavez, whose support continues to inspire impactful and purpose-driven environmental initiatives.

JCI Surigao North proudly takes the lead in advancing the NEXT LEAD: Activating the Next Generations of Surigaonon Young Professionals – a JCI Philippines JCI Ideas National Program, bringing together passionate leaders committed to creating impact through innovation and collaboration. Spearheading the initiative is Project Chairperson and training speaker, 2026 Vice President for Individual Development Kenn Edgar Parojinog, whose leadership continues to inspire growth and excellence among members.
Joining VP Kenn are a powerhouse of featured speakers: 2026 LO Secretary Coleen Frances Tan of JCI Surigao Wensie, 2026 LO President Jair Balberan of JCI Surigao Nickel, and 2026 LO Deputy Secretary Ralph Vincent Oraba of JCI Surigao Nickel—each sharing their expertise and insights to empower the next generation of changemakers. Together, they ignite ideas, strengthen leadership, and pave the way for meaningful community impact.
As ideas turn into action, this initiative stands as a testament to JCI’s mission of developing young leaders who are ready to create positive change. JCI Surigao North proudly led and organized “Speak Up!: Lead with Your Voices – Empowering Young Voices Across Surigao del Norte” – a JCI Philippines National Program Debate & Public Speaking, with Resource Speaker our very own 2026 Local Skills Development Director and 2026 Regional Local Skills Development Director of JCI Philippines Northern Mindanao Raxiey G. Adolfo, bringing together passionate young leaders for a transformative day of learning and expression. In collaboration with JCI Surigao Nickel and JCI Surigao Wensie, this initiative created a powerful platform for the youth to build confidence, sharpen communication skills, and speak with purpose.
This meaningful engagement followed a successful courtesy call to the University President, and we extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Rowena A. Plando for graciously allowing us to utilize the WAVES TVBI Center of Surigao del Norte State University, making this program possible.
With the inspiring presence of our 2026 JCI Philippines National Executive Vice President, Ginno Jaralve, participants were further motivated to use their voices as tools for change.

April 22, 2026 – JCI Surigao North led by 2026 LO President Jemima S. Plaza, together with JCI Surigao Nickel led by 2026 LO President Jair Balberan, extended support to families affected by the recent fire incident in Purok 2, KM 12, Brgy. Trinidad. Through JCI Philippines National Program – Oplan Kaagapay, the two chapters provided essential relief goods to four (4) households and, more importantly, shared our time, compassion, and presence—reminding them that they are not alone in rebuilding their lives.
We are grateful and honored to have been joined by our 2026 JCI Philippines National Executive Vice President, Ginno Jaralve, whose presence further inspired our mission of responsive and meaningful service.
